Kingston, Ontario

I don't see any palm trees.
(thanks Google images, Queens Univ. and the tourist who posted the docks)

Umm ... Gary? You are aware that it's November up here?

That top picture looks more like the Dunes beach at Sandbanks park up near Picton.

I have a bazillion photos of Kingston on GX40 which I would link to except the servers are very sluggish the morning. Check later in the archives (link waaaay down to right) for the category "Kingston".

Hey that's neat, Gordo! It's November here too! I thought you people used celsius?

Sure, according to the rather nice Queens Univ. info, that is indeed Picton and I wanna GO THERE. Are you trying to say Picton is somewhere else?
Alan, do any of your pics have palm trees? How did you feel about having me and my dog in your office? You seemed a bit surprised we were there.

There. The WD40 has now taken effect: http://www.genx40.com/archives/kingstonand/

Sandbanks is about an hour West of here, Gary. Gorgeous park, though and generally full of people in the summer.

Canadian 80's hair band Honeymoon Suite shot their video for Wave Babies at Sandbanks. I can't seem to locate the video, though.

That video also included a shot on the Glenora Ferry.

Guess Alan prefers not to comment on being stalked in my dreams. But I wasn't!
OK, when I was a kid and we lived in Brockport we would go to Hamlin Beach State Park and there were awesome beaches and dunes. About opposite Picton, the long way.
Hmmm...feel a post coming on...

Alan doesn't like it when blogging touches on his real world. I'd be freaked out if Kramer and his dog came walking into my building ... LOL

Well, but gordo, Alan's like family now. I mean, we named the special compartment for six-packs in the fridge 'The Alan MacLeod Honorary Coolspot'.
Besides, in my dream Kingston City Gov't was housed in a massive seven building campus, all skyscrapers. You can't possibly have that much gov't, can you?

Not yet, Gary. We're working on it. ;-)

Oh, I see, just like New Jersey.

Our City Hall was originally designed to be the Parliament Building for the federal government. When they built it, Kingston was in the running to be the capital. We lost to Ottawa and the City went bankrupt in the process. The building's design isn't exactly conducive to the large numbers of people that running a city requires, so they have "satellite" offices around town. I think they're just contracted to lease space ina new building, too.

I cannot speak for me in any matter that may or may not relate to me.

Heck, maybe we can just name that whole corner of the kitchen 'the MacLeod Nook'

Your Lemoine Point link is not the full link: http://www.genx40.com/archives/2005/

Alright, we can make it the 'Macleod Honorary Nook and Sink with Trash Can under the Cupboard'

Alan said...

Be careful as you may need to allocate all your space to treat storage with any luck.

If that comes true, Mr Beerblog, maybe the whole HALF of the kitchen would be named in your honor. How's that, huh huh?

Anonymous said...

So, that would be the MacLeod Half-Kitchen, then? Wow. Quite an honour.

Listen, we could name the downstairs bathroom for you, or maybe a closet? The Gordo Honorary Behind the Stairs Area?
