hippo pots move OUT
And you thought the potter's work was so glamorous all the time! Sometimes it's just packing boxes. I have had pretty good success with shipping, because: lotsa bubble wrap and paper, and always double box pots. Pottery has the advantage (HA! Joke!) of being both fairly heavy and very fragile, so it is very expensive to ship, extremely expensive when shipping to Canada (and then the nice customs people probably tax the heck out of the recipient).

"Nice customs people"? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
But you see, I DON'T have to talk with them, the recipient does!
Bye bye hippos.
You've really just blown my impression of potters out of the water. What? It's not glam all the time? You have to pack boxes? And use bubble wrap? At least you're always wearing a clean tux while you work.
It's muddy work, Lucia, but somebody has to do it and it sure beats digging ditches.
Gary, you have no idea what knowing you does for my outlook on life. When I have a rough day at work, I just have to think of you puttering away in the clay and I feel happy all over.
They may be the rum talking, but not entirely, I don't think....
Have another glass, Gordo, are we talking dark or are we talking spiced?
Listen, SOMEBODY needs to hang around the house, puttering and pottering, and it might as well be me. Here's to you, all you working stiffs out there in offices and cubicles, this Bud's for you.
Don't worry about customs. Usually if you've marked it gift - which I believe you mentioned, they don't charge anything. But hey, if us Canadians want something from down under, well I guess we gotta bite the bullet.
:-)
It is a 'gift' falalalala lalala!
