I am not getting rid of my Depeche Mode or Talking Heads tapes and cds, BUT there is an old Scandinavian tradition (so I have heard) of breaking old pottery on the New Year, to release old and bad spirits and usher in new good spirits. This potter coincidentally (but are there any coincidences in life, really?) made a new dish set for Mr. and Mrs. Pottersblog, and as it was late for Christmas and just out of the kiln, WELL.....
