the potter multitasks

The hard working potter gets up at 5, sends the dogs out, feeds them, throws some food and coffee toward his wife, gulps down some for himself, loads the clothes washer and begins glazing pots: there is the underglazing, waxing, dipping, painting, wiping bottoms (of pots) and final assembly and loading, then programming the kiln, turning on the blower, grabbing the dry clothes out of the way, hanging up the wet clothes AND taking out the dogs again while setting the recyclables on the curb for pickup. All this by 8:30.
You will see in the picture above that the washer is only a few feet from the kiln (no, I don't operate them at the same time, DUH!) and out of the picture, in front of the washer, is the glazing table and glaze buckets. It is a busy day today.

Now there's a visual. Lucky wife. Hope it didn't stain her clothes.
