elephant banks

Fresh from the kiln. The upcoming Chinese year of the pig has been AWESOME for sales, I think 2008 should be the year of the elephant, but Gordo tells me something like 2008 is the year of the rat, 2009 year of the buffalo....uck, I think year of the elephant is a better idea.

Well, you know, I suppose I have a year or two to figure out HOW to make Buffalos.

When you come up to the cottage, I'll take you to Pykeview Meadows, a buffalo farm on Wolfe Island. :-)

Sure, gorgeous animals, and a not too amazing city in western NY.
But you know, when is the year of the horse? I like horses a lot, and the year of the dog????

They're HUGE animals. The paddock fence at the Pyke's is built with 12x12 posts.

The horse isn't until 2012: http://www.chinatoday.com/culture/zodiac/zodiac.htm

Now, the true question is:
When is the year of the unicorn?

btw- I love your pottery. These elephants are absolutely adorable!

Abigail, EVERY year between 1975-1992 was the year of the unicorn.
Thanks for stopping over!
