Tax deductible, part 2

The title of the post suggests that research on pigs at the fair makes it a tax deductible expense: looking at and taking pictures of pigs, back to the studio to make and sell pigs! You have parking, ticket, frozen custard, fries.....

So, as I say, the image of piglets with their mother is cute taken to the triple degree. I actually did the sculpture at right a couple years ago, and yesterday was the first time in years I saw little piglets with their mother up close. She had 11 of them, I think, and I would say she was a bit tired. These oreo style pigs are absolutley the cutest, white around the shoulders and middle, black front and back!

As a fashion I think shrugs are silly but they look great on these pigs!

i went to the champlain valley fair and saw a pig with 12 piglets (2 weeks old). a caretaker had to go in the pen to clean and apparently that is a very dangerous job to do because some of the piglets were scattered about so the one thing you do not want to do is go between a pig and her piglet(s). will she charge or not? who knew this about pigs? anyways, everyone was on edge. it was too stressful to watch so we left.

That pic of the piggy litter is just precious! The piglets are are sort of indistinguishable from one another in one big loll, but if you click to enlarge it, you get a better view of them and you can even make out one little piggy's behind!
