my viewpoint

This is what I see out the studio window. The birds have just noticed the fresh sunflower seeds out there this week. In response to Jessie's comment below I wrote

'I looked at the cup, Jessie, as I do, and asked what it needed. It needed nothing. As for flying pigs, I am thinking of making a little sculpture to put on the other hook on my birdfeeder, picture above. I asked the birdfeeder what it wanted, and it said 'flying pig'

We should all have a flying pig.

Well, cm, hopefully it won't scare away the birds. I think a flying pig would provide balance, you see.

That's the thing I need! Bird feeder. This reintroduction to surface level living is quite a kick.

that's why, genx at 40, you need to take a beer pause (every-once-in-a-while) and read the potter's blog (at the same time!) to bring you back to reality. nature is cool!

Denis, I think we can all say this at once 'it is people like you what causes unrest'. Please restrain yourself.

Hey - I am Mr. Nature. I have over 110 birds on the life list and about 50 ornithology books I browse through as I partake of the odd ale. Gary has not yet been informed that he is hosting "Ale and Warblerfest 2007" next spring given that he is within a few miles of the Cornell Ornithological Institute, the bird nerd's Mecca. No unrest, Gary. I can hoo-haa with the best twits and pishers (note: twit is not an insult in this context).

I was in your corner, Alan, indicating Denis was causing unrest, and now IS NOT the time for Quebecer jokes, even if they are funny.
Ale and Warbler fest 2007?

No apology needed. I say we meet at "Twits and Ales 2007!" to be held in the greater Etna region.
