everybody loves penguins

(penguin bowls by Gary Rith)
I had a phone call from a person needing penguin bowls, and I happily obliged.

OK, so yesterday? Worked at the coop gallery and sold 22 pots at sale prices--quite good, plus made a dozen little piggies whilst sitting there. Putting sale tables out in the parking lot plus making stuff in front of people are effective retail tools when times are bad: people love a sale and people love a demo.
I listened to the same Grateful Dead CD repeatedly for 8 hours, that doesn't make me a Dead Head, does it?

it depends what you were wearing and how you had your hair?

Penguin bowls for that bedtime dish of ice cream? Brilliant! As to your being a Dead Head, after eight straight hours? I'd say the answer to that question is if you can still ask the question, probably not. You're safe.

I was dressed as my usual scruffy self, but perhaps less flaky than most dead heads.

I agree with Denis...what you were wearing is very key. I have to let you in on my personal DEAD story. It was 1983, I attended boarding school for the first time out East. I came from the midwest. I was 16 and had never heard of the Grateful Dead. When I was asked (because my last name is Garcia) if I was related to Jerry Garcia, I innocently replied "No, does he go to this school?" That group of kids NEVER let me forget that comment.

Opus rocks, my friend and if you have to ask if you're a Dead Head, the answer is probably no. ;-)

I took a group of high school students on a field trip to see the Grateful Dead in October of 94 at Boston Garden and then Jerry died a few months later! 4 kids didn't show up and the trip leader told me I could sell them on the street, which I did, for cover price, and I had my free ticket for myself, all the kids were VERY GOOD and the Dead was really a perfect performance band: they just play and they play well and have fun and it isn't overly loud at all. Somewhere online I got a recording of that concert: they did one whole set of Fire on the Mountain......

Well, if you dressed up the Michael Keaton look....and they saw [him]you crafting clay?

Yea, good sale..and everyone does love a [steal]deal!

Tell'em you and Patrick Swayze took up potter shortly after the "LIFE" movie [you]Keaton did and "Ghost" Patrick did.

They'll buy it...especially, if beer is available at this particular craft show.

[Oh, that might just be a Texas thing...beer and crafts, I mean.]
