There is a funny story about Santa Dogs, believe it or not. So, the bird feeder outside the studio was attacked by a chipmunk Wednesday. I was making little Santa Dogs (see picture!) and I ran to the door and began tearing the clay dog in my hand apart and throwing little wet clay balls at the invader. Can you believe I hit him square on with my fourth and final toss? At 20 plus paces? My mother says I must oil the stand, making it slick and unclimbable.
Buster here shows some Santa Dogs, ornaments which improve every Christmas tree.

And before i get animal cruelty complaints, let me state for the record: getting hit with a wet little ball of clay is a little like getting hit with a little piece of banana. Sure, you notice it, it is messy, but you survive.
Peanut butter and really really hot sauce is another idea.
So, Alan, you want me to attract the chipmunks with peanut butter then repell them forever with hot sauce? Not sure I want to wast two of my favorite food groups on furry rodents.
You should see that cheeky little chipmunk! Up and down the feeder, eating all those seeds. Well, let's just say the pole is greased now.
why don't you train buster and jack to chase the chipmunks away?
Yeah, right, Denis, those 2 dogs are reeeallllly scary.
I was going to suggest you use plaster of paris and cake mix 0/50 (my old mice remedy) but I figure you are probably all soft on the rats with good PR.
50/50
Well, Alan, small clay projectiles, even when on target, have not done much good.
