that time of year

This picture comes from the Albany newspaper, TWO FEET OF SNOW fell overnight, just to the west of here (where it is currently cold but sunny). Buffalo got hit so bad that there is no power and I cannot even get the Buffalo news online.

Why have I been laughing? Just because we were spared this time, we live only a few miles from Erie and Ontario's snowbelts.....

last year around this time we (northern VT) got lotsa snow and the power went out for 2 1/2 days.
