Save it for a rainy day

Here's a late afternoon tune, mellow and such, from the Jayhawks, 'Save it for a rainy day'. It is rainy and snowy today, and will be until the fourth of July, next year. The Jayhawks, despite being the name of Univ. of Kansas teams, and a nickname for Kansans anyway, are a band from Minnesota actually, and if I was gonna make a fraternity, I would invite these guys first, I mean, I like this band so much, more than any other on earth, I wish we could all sit down and have a pizza.

Thanks for the link to the Jayhawks. I love 'em. Have all their stuff. Tim O'Reagan (drummer in this video) was here in Madison a month or two ago. Great guy. Talked to him a bit. He's got a solo CD out now. And Gary Louris (lead) wrote songs with the Dixie Chicks that are on their current CD. Aw...too bad they're not together anymore.

Hey Lucia, you're in Madison? That's top of my go-to list. Maybe next year...

Madison is the bees knees. Just like Ithaca, but BIGGER! Fewer gorges, though, I guess. The Jayhawks may not be all that broken up, actually....I suppose time will tell if they get together again. We wanna hear them live and buy them pizza and have them marry our great pal cm so we could all be family.

Yes, I am. Great city. Actually have a Jayhawks CD in now because I was thinking about them because of your post. You want all of 'em to marry cm? Full house.

(snort, snicker) I guess cm would have to be up for some sort of modern reverse-Mormon type thing. She may prefer the dude who is the lead singer, so soulful and sincere...
my impression is this: some bands are good only in studio recordings with electronics and producers, whereas the Jayhawks are perfect anytime, studio or no studio: they are performers.

I think cm might be up for that. :-) As long as it means she doesn't have to clean up after all of them.
