the little dog laughed!

(illustration from 1901 Mother Goose, and 2 cow plaques by Gary Rith)

Hey diddle diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon.
The little dog laughed to see such fun,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.

I am very pleased with how these turned out. They will have a little leather lace across the top for easy hanging. The first goes to a show at the convention and visitors bureau, the second may go to a customer and so I am trying make more very quickly....

And thanks for the little hey diddle diddle pic, made me all warm and fuzzy. I love oldie worldy kiddy things like that, so innocent and fun.

I think you should literally make "the dish" from this rhyme--- it should have little legs and feet and be running carrying the spoon.

I need to lie down now.

We need the laughing dog, too! The cow and moon are great :-)

I like the first cow jumped over the moon plaque, but both are very nice.
