petite pottery field trip

Ellen and Susan, two of my pottery students, drove with me an hour north Wednesday to buys supplies from a ceramic supplier in Syracuse, have a BBQ lunch and go to the Everson Art Museum, which is stuffed full of pots. Inside and out, as you can see!

I think a raccoon snuck in with the pots. Careful Gary!

Those are very large pots! I like the raccoon too.

How does one go about making a pot that large? Is it done in sections?

Soooo, you do get out of the studio and check out pots and potters. I knew it!

Hi, thanks for checking in on me on my blog Gary. I am feeling lots better. But am watching how much time I spend hunched over the computer. I am a marketing/PR person in my other life and have had lots of client work going on right now too... So, have had to balance pottery time, computer time, work time... I'm not too good at the balance stuff.
