boatload of relatives

(elephant wall piece and blueberry bowls by Gary Rith)
So, a variety of aunts-in-law and cousins-in-law arrive this weekend and like a little gopher, I stick my head out briefly, look around, then disappear into the studio to hide and work.

Good for you! Sometimes, I find it hard to do that and get pulled in multiple directions. I'm going to give myself long, stress-free time in the studio this coming week to (hopefully) get a glaze-load ready -- and be kind to my back. A little work, a walk, a little more work, a rest, a little work, a nap...

Hey, at least you work at home so you can say, "I'm really busy but it's nice to see allllll of y'all!"

LOL!!!

The bowls are beautiful!!

Can't wait to see the cow jumping over the moon mug finished -- I thought about it this morning as I poured my coffee.

Thanks both. I am glazing cow mugs this morning, they will be out of the kiln Monday.
What do people say about relatives and fish and 3 days? I am likely to get some good food and drink out of it tonight, though....

Those berry bowls are wonderful.
Visiting relatives here are so busy sightseeing that we only see them for a short while each day. And my SIL insisted that we weren't in the "fish and visitors" catagory last month. I hope she wasn't just being nice...we'd been there for 10 days at the time...
