(urn by Gary Rith)
So I was asked to make an urn for Mary's dying cat's ashes. They got home Sunday and the little cat had passed away. This urn just came out of the kiln and it looks like a pretty resting place.
More stuff later.....

I'm so sorry about your cat, Mary. When my dog passed away in May her ashes came back in a beautiful wooden box. They also sent with them a beautiful tribute called 'The Rainbow Bridge' (if you google it, there are many links). It helped alot.
Gary the urn is beautiful, I'm sure it will be a lovely resting place.
Beautiful, Gary.
Really nice Gary, well done, and my sympathies to Mary
Gary, the urn is beautiful. Maude was right to suggest yellow and the cat on top looks like Sydney. Thank you to everyone for your sympathies - Mary
oh my.. that urn is so very beautiful and moving (I can't believe how much it affects me). You were SOOOO right in choosing a sleeping cat for the top.
As with the others I am very sorry Mary.
oh goodness, well, maybe there will be a little kitten in Mary's future and she will need a food and water dish!
That is too precious for words. So sweet and so perfect. I am so sorry Mary........
Mary, my sympathies. It is not easy losing a loved one.
Gary, you did a wonderful job and that glaze is beautiful.
That is the sweetest thing ever.
Gary the urn is beautiful - I was really moved when I saw it up close. Thank you to everyone for sharing your thoughts with me, they touched my heart. Mary
