About Me

- Gary Rith is a full-time studio potter and also an instructor of pottery at Cornell University's Pot Shop. Gary started learning pottery in 1983. In 1985 he served as an apprentice to Dean White of Deansboro, NY and earned a bachelor's degree in art from Bennington College in 1987. He has been a full-time sculptor and potter since 1997. Gary started his business in New Hamspshire, where he was selected as a member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen in 2004 and in 2005 was named one of New Hampshire's Emerging Ceramics Artists. He moved to the Ithaca, NY area in 2006, near where he grew up, and is happily making pots and sculpture in a purple house on Fall Creek. Gary likes to laugh, and his first goal is to have fun making pots.

Inchworms!
Is the inchworm song from Sesame Street? Oh, it's been on Sesame Street, but pre-dates it.
I remember seeing the Danny Kaye version on tv; I always think of that before the Sesame Street version. And speaking of Sesame Street, does anyone else remember Wanda the witch? And her sister Wendy?
Wanda and Wendy ring bells, and Gord is right: Sesame Street has awesome inchworms.
I'm pretty sure Ernie sang it on Sesame Street. I definitely remember Wanda and Wendy.
I remember the comic Wendy the good little witch.. and she eventually had adventures with casper... don't remember Wanda though.
I think the muppet show had a good dancing inchworm segment.. hmm maybe that was the rubber band band...

I had teh great pleasure in the fall of buying the complete first season of the Muppet Show on DVD and introducing my boys to it. They're haven't released any more seasons. :-(
