MONDAY

I posted a ton yesterday. I have to glaze now, more later. How about 'Cherry Bomb' from John Cougar Mellencamp for tunes o' the day? (sure, very 80s looking, but most upbeat for a Monday)

pottery in action: grilled veggies on my plate
(plate by Gary Rith, veggies cooked by same, also Jack and the missus)
People ask my friend A______, who is in an alternative relationship, how women do it, with details. College guys are especially nosey. WELL, vegetarians get asked the same type of question, different subject. How do vegetarians bbq??? WELL, I grew the little tomatoes and pepper, added a friend's summer squash and marianated in GARY'S SUPER DUPER MARIANADE SAUCE all day, then skewered and grilled, with some fake sausage, and NOW you know the secret. It is hard to believe how tasty that was.
petite blog meetup: Kingston, Ont
(Mrs Pottersblog and Greg, mr Pottersblog and Gorthos and Gorthos Jr, punishment for posting tacky unicorn art, table full of pots and historical items, Greg's significant other, Suzette, and a pitcher by Mr Pottersblog)
Greg is involved in an historical group and held a demonstration in Kingston Saturday. I provided historic pots. The little toes belong to the ever mysterious CM, who came over from Toronto. Gordo stopped by, but we forgot to get his picture.

be loving!
(plaque by Gary Rith)
You may recall my 'be joyful!' campaign and sculptures. You know, dancing and joyful bunnies and such. Last night as the missus and I shared the chili, and as Einstein said 'you're walking down the street eating an apple and it just comes to you' (something like that), I looked tenderly across the table and said 'hey! be loving!'.
OK, this is not cheesy Hallmark cards territory or Hummel figurines cutesy, but, you know, even though I am a tough macho guy, maybe I can help the world be a little more joyful and loving?
That's it, I have posted for Saturday. There is a petite blog meetup in Ontario, so I shall see you (and YOU know who you are) there. With an appetite!
Madchester! Stone Roses and special Saturday edition

Madchester was The Smiths, James, Charlatans UK, Stone Roses and Oasis. You liked 'I wanna be adored' didn't you??? Stone Roses and 'Fool's Gold' is even better.
kids, don't do this at home!
historic pots, another chapter

(paintings from museums, tankards and pitcher by Gary Rith, inspired by those pics)
Soon I will put together a coherent collection of paintings and the pots I have made that are inspired by pots in those pictures.
These are going to Greg, who is giving a Cavalier Society demo in Kingston, Ontario Saturday. We are going there to enjoy the day and pass out the pots.
I wanna be adored
'I wanna be adored' by the Stone Roses for tunes o' the day. Is there a connection between the picture of me and my dogs and this song title?
My readers are very lucky, I have been posting excellent tunes lately.

the meaningful life
(work by Gary Rith)
I think of all you working stiffs in your cubicles, doing data reports and diagrams and schematics, and I say: I am lucky. Hanging around the house all day, lunch at 10 am if I want it, dog outings as needed.
Life, however, is not all puppies, unicorns and pots, sometimes it is dancing elephants too.
(CM, I have in mind the light colored background for you, OK?)
busy day
the usual pigs, potter, beagle
drivers seat

By Sniff N' the Tears. 1978? This song sure does travel well, still sounds mighty good. Not sure what the guy in the bomber jacket and glasses in the back is supposed to do. Maybe he's the backup singer, or the pizza delivery guy.
