Spike the cat and his beautiful mistress
(Missus Pottersblog and Spike)
She'll ask 'why are you taking my picture? you're not going to BLOG this are you?' To which I am silent, maybe hum a few bars of that Minnie Ripperton song "Loving you, is easy cause you're beautiful..." then she asks 'well, you'll let me look at these first, WON'T YOU?' and then maybe I will sing something by Paul McCartney like 'some people wanna filll the world with silly love songs....what's wrong with that, I'd like to know.....'.
I thought I would post these pics before she had a chance to realize what was going on.
Better to apologize in life than ask permission, eh?

You are in so much trouble....
Aww...she's so pretty! You two make a beautiful couple. Spike looks like he's about to blend in w/ that pillow.....ha
Thanks for sharing ;)
I am afraid Kate and Jim may be right. I sure hope you are not a dead man for it, cause we will miss you and Pottersblog.....
OMG! That is the biggest cat I have ever seen in my life, is it just the pictures or is that a monster cat?
Spike is humungous and your wife is beautiful, gracefully beautiful. (Cheri said it first, but I wholeheartedly agree.)
That's the perfect Paul McCartney song to sing to her. She seems to bring that out in you. :)
Such devotion to your wife is an excellent quality in your personality.
The life of a wife of a blogger....I guess she's used to it :) She's lovely and Spike is one big boy! Thanks for sneaking the pics on here.
NO she is not used to it. She hates it, so I am sneaky! She is on to my little trick, though---the 'Loving You' song ran out pretty quickly, and she now knows that when I sing 'Silly love songs' I am up to something. Maybe I should try 'Tie a yellow tibbon round the old oak tree...'.
BTW--wonder what she'll think when she sees I would volunteer to wash Susan Sarandon's convertible---I mean, our car isn't very clean, and here I am scrubbing hers?
Oh, and Spike is insanely huge alright....
You and Maude and your animal entourage restore my faith in the world and its goings on!
Dear Everyone,
Thank you for the kind comments.
Dear Mr. Pottersblog,
You are in sooooo much trouble. . .
Spike's love for Mrs. P. is readily apparent. Mrs. P. looks pretty good, too. Not sure how I'd feel about having my picture posted, so keep humming those love songs. EH
Great pictures - but I have to ask - is it just the perspective, or is that cat actually BIGGER AROUND than his mommy? Talk about being built for comfort, not for speed - Spike has impressive avoirdupois. When he sits around the house, he really SITS AROUND THE HOUSE. Ba da boom!
