a petite Monday stew....

(pots by Gary Rith)
This cookie jar looks especially good. If I may say so. This blue glaze comes from the Cornell studio and I am in love with it, and I have even traded to get the recipe. Speaking of the Cornell studios, I have been hired for my first job in 11 years: I shall be teaching beg 1 and 2 non-credit pottery classes at Cornell starting this summer. Sounds tres impressive, eh? I am teaching at Cornell! Ha! The trick, of course, is that somebody needs to sign up, and secondly that those foolish suckers need to then start collecting my pots, because that is really how the bills get paid.
OK, cold is mostly behind me, off to the dentist this morning for a routine visit and they will probably try to take xrays: something I avoid. Why are they always trying to soak my brain with radiation?????

Hey, Gareeee! C'mon down off that ceiling. You do look a bit silly bobbing around up there, but three large plate-size cookies will, without fail, do that to you. But a doff of the hat to you, as well, Monsieur le Professeur. Excellent. And Cornell. So prestigious! So go dazzle 'em with your talent!

I was bragging today about how I had purchased pottery from this artist I met blogging, who teaches at Cornell...
It's my claim to fame. ;)

dazzle? well....
I should emphasize, ahem, the ah, non-credit aspect of this, the very humble contract, the lack of true academic status....but still!
