The missus went to a natural dyeing workshop, wool in hand. The mustardy color on the right? Marigolds! The bright yellow on the left? Goldenrod! The pale green on the far left? Parsley! You should have seen the clothesline outside at the place where the workshop was---dozens of these colored strands blowing in the wind!

Thats so pretty. I used to do that and I'm still knitting with it today.
Those are some beautiful colors. Wish there was a photo of the wool drying in the wind.
What made those gorgeous oranges and reds in the middle?

oh WOW!!.. I have a book my mom gave me written in the 40's I think about natural dyeing.. just love it!... now did she use the drop spindle to make her wool??? ;)
That's gorgeous, Gary. I'm told that honey made from goldenrod nectar is green. And smells terrible. The stuff is growing all over Simcoe at the moment. Would Maude like a bushel? ;-)
