As a person who has no spending money or time, I never go anywhere on vacation. It is fortunate that my parents, 44 miles to the east, live on a rather grand farm with acres of woods, meadow, river and stream, and a large swimming or fishing pond. Off I go!

When I was a kid we swam in the local pond...I don't like to think about what was possibly in there swimming and slithering around along with me.

Nothing better than a vacation where you're still home in your own bed at night.

Just to my left in that picture of the pond a fawn came running out of the woods, about as big as a small dog. I hope its mother found it.
