blue porringer!

My old pal Greg has an interest in old pottery, which is quite a fascinating field of study. This guy, about 400 years old, from the Pilgrim Museum suits my mood this morning, as I just had porridge myself, and am working on a nice new blue glaze.

very cool gary.. I was wondering what would catch your eye of all the links I sent. Apparently these types of bowls were common when eating stews and porridge etc. Something every reenactor needs to have in their kit.

did any of the pitchers or tankards catch your fancy?

Fab blue glaze, fab. I am still thinking about all this, as we are looking at items that are not my style usually, but this bowl is cute.
