Tunes o' the day, Van Halen's cover of the Kinks 'You Really Got Me'. Watching this video, and transporting yourself back to high school (in my case) you are reminded:
1) Van Halen's early work is phenomenal
2) looking at the prancing here, you realize that the writers and directors of the movie 'Spinal Tap' did not have to use much imagination. I am reminded of the airport security scene and the cucumber.
3) dare I say it? I like this version better than the original by the Kinks

interesting lineup: their bassist of 30 years replaced byy Wolfgang VH, 16 yr old son of Eddie, and David Lee Roth is back, again....
Every kick-ass band requires a bassist name Wolfgang. It oughtta be a law.
OK, you also gotta have a drummer named Lars, a lead singer named Ian and a keyboardist named Nigel. You can fill in the blank on the last guy BUT it must be a little boy's name, like Richie or Tommy or Jimmy.
