The long and short of it is that in the few secs it took the 'puter to get over here, I realized I'd be pretty darn disappointed if there wasn't a pic of a bunny.

You didn't let me down. I'm getting attached to these fuzzy li'l guys.

My grandfather raised rabbits for a number of years. Helping out there coloured my view of the varmints, so I'm not all that fond of the "rabbits as pets" idea. They can be ornery beasts and smell terribly.

Well, I have had 3 in my lifetime, all good, soft, sweet-natured pets. But I know they can be otherwise. My plan is this (and don't tell my mom): after Easter, when I am a shelter volunteer, I will adopt the smallest and sweetest, cute little lop eared bunny they have.

Awww, Gary is a soft-heart! I think the difference in one rabbit as a furry pet and raising pens of rabbits is the key don't you Gordo? I knew a family that raised rabbits and you're right, it was messy, smelly and they wouldn't let you pet them and it just seemed horrible. But I had a pet rabbit when I was kid that was the cutest, sweetest thing. But have you ever heard a rabbit scream? Most ghostly horrid sound I've ever heard...

i think you should get a pig instead. you know it's your favorite animal and that deep down you really prefer that.

No, big D, NOT a pig, maybe a guinea pig, but yes Mags, there are some sweet bunnies out there. There were 2 HUGE bunnies at the shelter the other day, tough characters.

I agree with Denis. Bacon sandwiches all 'round! ('scuse me while I scurry away before gr bans me for life for that last one - at least I didn't mention rabbit stew...ooops)
