The wife was out and about last night so I was left with my own choice for a movie, and naturally watched 'Escape from NY', which is exactly the kind of dumb thing guys watch when the wife is out. The two funny things are that EVERYBODY smokes (everybody smoked back then) and the 1981 view of future technology. You know, the computers, the huge thing they use for radio communications (early cell phones were like shoeboxes or suitcases, weren't they?).
