And we get this extra day.January is bad enough, February is a long slog. Went out with the dogs just now and it is 10 below, about 25 below C, with snow getting in the dogs' paws and more snow expected later.
I DID dream of beaches last night. A Great Lake in the summertime, and going swimming....

I like February. It's short, the days are getting longer, we have serious weather. Brilliant! It's November I could do without.
I grew up loving the wonderful sandy beaches of Lake Michigan, but there's nothing like that first plunge into that COLD, COLD water even in mid-summer!
