CM suggests: The Casino in Dublin

I was talking about follies last week, because I was making some. A folly is typically a building in a garden with no particular use, although not unuseful. I was using the term to describe some pots I was making that were extra fanciful, and if the owner wanted they could use them for flowers or a drink. Or nothing at all.
CM was in Dublin last fall and went to The Casino, which is a little building designed to look pretty and to amuse. What I love, in a design sense, is all the little columns and doodads and statues: it is totally over the top. Just to be decorative.

I think it'd be nice to live there. And I would add some window boxes full of flowers. :)

That would be nice, wouldn't it Susan! I can imagine the room behind the window. (Gee, I hope they have central heating.)

I could also imagine a party on the roof!
