on the road: over the river and through the woods

My parents live in the hills east of Ithaca on a big woodsy former farm with a river, a (frozen) pond, a barn and a springer spaniel. Although our snow is nearly melted, they have gotten a whole lot more.
My mom baked up a storm. I ate a lot of it.

It's beautiful, Gary. Is that the home they live in? I love A-frames.

Yes, that is the house. It overlooks their own pond. I shall not be swimming there this month though.

No swimming? Wimp... It sure looks beautiful. I like PICTURES of snow. It reminds me of why I LOVE living in the south! :)
