I may be an excitable boy....

...but I'm harmless. Not sure you believe me when you see me chewing on Spike's ear.

Aha. I knew you were a Warren Zevon fan! Actually, I didn't but I'm assuming now you've heard of him.

...well OF COURSE I am a Warren Zevon fan, but I wonder who you are?

The astounding thing is that Spike seems to be enjoying it.

You think, John? I was thinking Spike looked totally unimpressed, but I'm not familiar with cat expressions.

Looks like maybe you need to get out of the house!!!

Spike probably thought you were trying to groom him, and get the mites out of his ear. He probably was thinking, "it's about time this human figured out how to do some grooming, geez, I groom HIM!"

I (Marian) am the author of the Warren Zevon comment. I just didn't feel like logging in.

yeah, he has a kind of goofy happy face. I likes to nibble lightly too, coz they feel nice, heehee - non cat people really couldn't understand that I'd bet, lol

Me, too. And I once wrote a little poem about my magical Irish cat that would do whatever you asked it to, if you just gave the tip of its ear a wee nip and whispered what you wanted. Tuffy, that one was, rescued from a dumppster as a throwaway kitten, and greatly beloved.
