stone and glass

Tink's weekly photo challenge is stone and glass. I just went out into this stinko weather and got these shots, a cairn in my garden (the ivy looks hopeful, doesn't it?) and a window in the upper corner of our old purple house with wasabi colored trim.

wasabi colored trim. Love it! Adds that spicy pickup against the purple just as nicely as the real stuff does for sashimi or sushi. Yummm!

OOoh-- I have always loved the look of cairns. I love when you happen upon them in the woods---left by a passing hiker or camper to mark a nice spot.

I love the purple and wasabi too! And the reflection of the winter tree in the window is a great contrast.

Wasabi colored! LOVE that description. The rock art is pretty cool too. Is it glued together? ;) I'm kidding.

I love the color combination on your house - it makes me happy just looking at it!
And the stone column looks like an ancient marker the Druids might have erected to point the way to a sacred meeting ground...

welcome, all!
this is an especially day in an ugly time of year, so a bright purple house with wasabi colored trim sets a festive tone

I like the carin too. Perhaps I'll have to do a little something here this summer.

I'm also really liking the weekly photo challenge!

As always, you do so much with only 2 photographs. Well played!
