Prince is something else and I am a fan, esp. of Purple Rain, and here is the video for 'Raspberry Beret'. Which is frankly quite silly.
The missus was wearing a beret recently, and I was thinking 'whoa, the Lewinsky look, does she want to go there?'. My wife does not, in the end, and I didn't have to say a thing. I have learned over these many years that it is better that my mouth stay shut when it comes to fashion advice.

I didn't say anything while you were WEARING the beret darling, and Emily, since I am not married to you and you live elsewhere, who cares what you wear?
Berets belong ONLY on Frenchmen, and male Frenchmen only. I have proof positive in a snapshot of me at about age three, wearing one of those things and, man, you should the scowl on my face. I knew better even then!
