Mud season

(Spike stays IN, Jack enjoys the mud, our back yard and down to the river and 1000 Canadian geese)
March and spring (April and May also) means mud season. Jack shows what our back yard looks like, although the mud seems to all be coming into the kitchen on everybody's feet. You would think we have pigs not a grassy lawn.

I know - I know....mud. It's awful. I've got a couple of 'outside' rugs at the bottom of the steps to the deck. Then another couple of rugs ON the deck till the dogs get to the door. Although - the grass is getting green! Hooray!

Mud would be amazing right now. I know it's out there. Somewhere. Under the snow. But, it will come.

Gary, I just had a conversation with someone overseas about Canada geese and what terrible pests they are. But: there's a marsh just to the west of us, and I will admit to it being an amazing sight when 100 or so of them come whooshing in just about the rooftops for a landing. :-)

Gord, here the geese are where they belong: by the edge of the river in the woods...
oi, the mud....

Even more than the snow, I hate the mud. Thank goodness we have wood floors, which can be wiped clean with little effort. I don't know how we would manage with carpet.

Canada exports some of the worst stuff:
-Celine Dion
-those abundantly pooping geese
-CRUMMY WINTER WEATHER
-Labatt Blue
Blame Canada!

If I could, I'd sure send 'em all back marked 'return to sender'! Kokomo has our share here, too and a walk along the banks of the river in the city park is a dangerous stroll.
I must admit to a certain feeling of awe and fear, though, in North Carolina, when a flock would fly over ME on their way to who knows where.
