Shelly, Marina and Odie

(Odie the dachshund in his jammies with his teddy bear, and pottery inspired by Odie).
My old pal Shelly is a jeweler near Boston. I lived near Boston and bumped into her a few times at fairs, once or twice her daughter Marina was also there, and even their little dog Odie.
Well, the call came, and Shelly is very smart. She is the type of customer who knows better than to order something specific from me, instead she said 'I need a sugar bowl'. I tend not to make what a customer wants me to make them, instead I make what I feel the customer really needs and what I want to do. Saying something open ended like 'sugar bowl' is smart.
So naturally, I had to make an Odie sugar bowl, and then a second one.

Success lies in knowing what to ask for. Or not, as the case may be. ;-)
