Having enjoyed 2+ hot and dry weeks, all the trees and flowers are popping out very early this year. Finally last night was some rain (this is damp upper New York, not Arizona!) and it is foggy and brilliant green outside. It is early and there are thousands of robins hopping around eating worms. Yesterday, it will be noted about this famous black thumb, I did a little weeding around the yard, preparatory to a very big weeding session sometime this week.
Dreamt extensively that I was trying trying TRYING to get some coffee, and finally found a kiosk and ordered a double espresso and was waiting forever for it and....cr#p, I never got it, and just woke up and made my own.

- Gary Rith is a full-time studio potter and also an instructor of pottery at Cornell University's Pot Shop. Gary started learning pottery in 1983. In 1985 he served as an apprentice to Dean White of Deansboro, NY and earned a bachelor's degree in art from Bennington College in 1987. He has been a full-time sculptor and potter since 1997. Gary started his business in New Hamspshire, where he was selected as a member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen in 2004 and in 2005 was named one of New Hampshire's Emerging Ceramics Artists. He moved to the Ithaca, NY area in 2006, near where he grew up, and is happily making pots and sculpture in a purple house on Fall Creek. Gary likes to laugh, and his first goal is to have fun making pots.

Espresso's fine as long as you don't try to match your intake with regular coffee. ;-)
We had that rain last night too, Gary. Loads cooler today, as well. It's actually seasonal out there.
