the black thumb in action

Somewhat miraculously, my seedlings are popping out. The sunflowers are gratifyingly robust. I won't get my hopes up, but I will mist at least 4 times a day, and rotate.

The two mistakes that most people make according to the CBC's gardening expert are: overwatering and underwatering.

I think I'm buying all my produce at farmer's markets and stalls this year. The deer just eat everything in the garden...except the chili peppers. And how many of those do we really need??

Off to a fine start with those little seedlings, Gary. Glad to see you're giving 'em plenty of light, as well. One of the best crops I ever had I started on top of an old fridge in a dark basement, with a large daylight fluorescent light over 'em.

people gave me seeds, and I feel they deserve a chance! Boy, I love the ease of sunflowers and marigolds, though, and I pray for the lavendar!
