America Gets Excited and TUNES IN TONIGHT!

Oh happy DAY!
I am a VERY big football fan. Football in general, you know? The NFL opens tonight, and although I am not specifically a NY Giants fan, because as I have said here before I like the Jets' team colors better, I am totally excited.
When I was little we lived in Ohio, in the town where the Cleveland Browns practiced in the summer, and I could ride my bike to the field everyday and watch practice, and I did, and I met the whole team. MONSTERS! Big friendly guys, all of them, and I had gotten nearly all their autographs too. I also played football in high school for 3 years, which seems pathetic and laughable considering I was and I am about 5 foot 8 inches and 144 pounds. But I was a starter, I was freshman team captain, and I could knock anybody on their a$$ that came my way. Even Big Jim Weaver, a guy on our team who was 14 years old and six foot 3, 320 pounds. Just go low for the knees, no probs.
My career was, of course, cut short by a rather serious head injury, which caused me to miss a lot of school and stop studying and hang out with the punks. Denis, who is also my size, also played high school football. We both, ahem, played for small schools that never won games, but you know...details details....
Despite all that, it is a glorious day, and the NFL plays tonight!

it's a good thing our alma mater didn't have a football team...our losing streak would have continued.

Sweet! I must get myself some pork rinds and beer. I kid, honest. Hmmm, what would be good football munchies? Hmmmmmmmmm Ritz crackers with cheese and Mikes hard pomegranite lemonade. yeah, that's the stuff.

I used to volunteer at the snack shack during football games in high school. I just remember freezing my BUTT off and hoping it would be a short game!!!
