About Me
- gary rith
- Gary Rith is a full-time studio potter and also an instructor of pottery at Cornell University's Pot Shop. Gary started learning pottery in 1983. In 1985 he served as an apprentice to Dean White of Deansboro, NY and earned a bachelor's degree in art from Bennington College in 1987. He has been a full-time sculptor and potter since 1997. Gary started his business in New Hamspshire, where he was selected as a member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen in 2004 and in 2005 was named one of New Hampshire's Emerging Ceramics Artists. He moved to the Ithaca, NY area in 2006, near where he grew up, and is happily making pots and sculpture in a purple house on Fall Creek. Gary likes to laugh, and his first goal is to have fun making pots.

Definitely. You can't post awesome stuff like that without a price tag.
You guys can have them for only 20 bucks more than everybody else! What a deal!

What was it that got you makin' tiki in the first place?
Gord saw the little manufactured tiki cup I have in my studio a couple of weeks ago and asked if I could try making tiki, and so I tried and have been having fun!
Wow - Is that a GREEN tiki mug???

Why yes, even people who are color blind agree that my 'turtle celadon' glaze is indeed, a mossy green.
Don't worry Gord, I owe you one, but usually a large mug is 19 bucks and a HUGE enormous stein is 23 bucks.
Plus tax!
Just what are the volumes of those mugs, Gary? They're HUGE!
I am going to check, but I bet about 3 bottles, or 36 oz.
