this is where my wife says:

(3 boot mugs made by Mr Potsblog)
'these are awful!', although she says I have done them well. Hard to please everybody, right? I imagine a little mouse scurrying across the toe or maybe...

unfortunately, i have to agree with your wife. i think the main problem is the toe part. it's too circular and short. make it longer and "point-ier."

gee, i thought you were perfect. but you're pretty damn close.

Hmmm..the idea is cool and they'd probably be used for vases. Out in BC in hippieland, all kinds of artists paint the real Gumboots and they sell like crazy. Igloos might go over well on Baffin Island!

Oooh! A Welly vase ... that sounds great, Mother! Don't forget the strap and buckle near the top, Gary!

disgusting.

I am an ARTIST.

Hmmph.

Fine. Put a pig on it, then.

pigs lend a quiet dignity to every artistic endeavor

That should be your blog's motto.

You rpropotions are really close to a 1970s Canadian boot called the Snowmobile boot that every kid had. Interior felt lining that was actually a separate boot. Zipper up the outside ankle.

i remember those. i even had one myself.

the predecessor to the Cougar boot. (no, not that cougar)

The predecessor in the life of a Canadian but not in style. You make a real 1970s kid's snowmobile boot stein and Canadians will buy it. Can't find an image of a real vintage one.

Those black things, Alan?

I know the boots Alan is referring to. I need to put up a picture of the TRUE model for these boot mugs, my Chippewas.
