.....with fairies and unicorns. Do not hurl, I find Ihave a talent for making unicorns. You will note that I have added appropriate squiggly bits to the jar part, for that wizardy look.

- Gary Rith is a full-time studio potter and also an instructor of pottery at Cornell University's Pot Shop. Gary started learning pottery in 1983. In 1985 he served as an apprentice to Dean White of Deansboro, NY and earned a bachelor's degree in art from Bennington College in 1987. He has been a full-time sculptor and potter since 1997. Gary started his business in New Hamspshire, where he was selected as a member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen in 2004 and in 2005 was named one of New Hampshire's Emerging Ceramics Artists. He moved to the Ithaca, NY area in 2006, near where he grew up, and is happily making pots and sculpture in a purple house on Fall Creek. Gary likes to laugh, and his first goal is to have fun making pots.

The characteristic funkiness of your unicorn makes it alright that you make them. They are not the run of the mill girly rainbow pie in the sky figures. Thats a good thing.
Actually I am pleasantly surprised, as I thought I would still not like it with the unicorn but you see that I think the style of the pot itself really makes it all work.
I am of course joking all over the place here, but thanks Mags, and you know what? I am making another today.
Oh i know. I've learned from your posts and comments not to take you quite too seriously...ok pretty much hardly at all - I guess it fits into that old Mad Potter thing. (I loved that post of yours about that btw)
As a matter of fact, the world will have more unicorn items AND moose stuff thanks to me.
