I'm pretty sure I've seen one of these in northern Wisconsin. He had a white paper triangle on his head, kind of like it was photoshopped...but it wasn't. No REALLY!
Vegetarian or not, they're still huge and dangerous when annoyed.
Algonquin Provincial Park, here in Ontario, used to have a display of photographs of cars that had hit moose in the park. In about 70% of cases, the moose walked away. Every single car was a write-off.
The question, Abigail, is easily answered in the post above...sometimes people are not feeling well and they see bizarre animals wandering through their yard. Gordo, we had moose wandering around our old place in New Hampshire and they are tough and menacing at times. My neighbor shot one and it was this huge thing strung up in the yard. Yuck.
Hmmmm...too many hot rum toddies? You're cut off! This guy looks like he's actually smiling! He's an icon for Canada so maybe he just smiles for me...oh, and Gordo too! A friend of mine hot a moose in Algonquin Park, went through the windshield and almost died. 50 stitches!
I have seen quite a few---around Lake Superior, around our house in NH and even when we lived OUTSIDE OF BOSTON and they would wander around. Mother of: well, yes, I did try the Scottish cure in the evening, which has not been of help this morning.
When I was 13, on one of the Campbell Family extended camping vacation extravaganzas, I got within 10 feet of a docile grazing cow moose at Yellowstone park. She was calmly eating grass and watching the dozen or so people gawking.
Even closer on a high school canoe trip to Algonquin Park. Simply awe-inspiring creatures.
As my old pal Gordo says:
"You want plain, old pots or plates? Go see the other guys. You want whimsy and creativity? Gary's the man!"

my pots are lead-free, microwaveable and dishwasher safe, just don't drop them!
Mary Lee got her pots and says: "Love 'em both......I'm also much relieved to find that both pieces are useable in any of the traditional manners, micro, dishwasher, etc., something I'd wondered about.
I'm truly delighted ....the glaze is so very much nicer in person. Photos do not do it justice, alas! "

Gary started learning pottery in 1983. In 1985 he served as an apprentice to Dean White of Deansboro, NY and earned a bachelor's degree in art from Bennington College in 1987. Gary started his business in New Hamspshire, where he was selected as a member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen in 2004 and in 2005 was named one of New Hampshire's Emerging Ceramics Artists. He moved to the Ithaca, NY area in 2006, near where he grew up, and is happily making pots and sculpture in a purple house on Fall Creek. Gary likes to laugh, and his first goal is to have fun making pots.

From Quebec, Mags gets excited:
GUESS WHAT? My pots arrived! Oh my GOD! They are beautiful and you are soooooooooo sweet
another happy pig lover wrote:
Thank you so much for the prompt delivery...... I LOVE it!!! This day has been very stressful, and your package certainly brightened it. :-) (Sometimes all ya need is a couple of pigs!)
These will be favorites.
Thanks again, M.P.
When Mona opened up her box of pots she said:
I went all gooshy 'cause they're absolutely amazing! The pigs are gosh-darned cute, and the glaze-work is gorgeous! I can't keep my hands off them! Seriously! I keep finding excuses to walk by them .....
Lucia has something to say:
Gary -
You're awesome.
The vase is beautiful!! It's even more lovely than it looked in the photo. And the surprise, I laughed so loud at its cuteness that a co-worker came in and asked what was so funny. Thank you so much! I felt just like it was Christmas here in the office this morning, and I'm smiling. Wooooohooo!!! You're excellent.

E.S. sez:
The package made it in excellent condition! I absolutely loved them. I almost couldn't part with the pig mug, but I gave it to my coworker for her birthday who is in love with pigs.
and more happy customers say:
"Gary, my pots arrived! They're beautiful just as I expected
I just wanted to thank you ever so much...adorable." Maggie

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, the horror. The horror.
I think I'm blind.
this is all pretty dumb. I am delirious and cannot be held responsible for my actions!

I didn't know they had been seen in Wisconsin too, was it halloween? Maybe a young moose out trick or treating as a unicorn? Been known to happen.
Those teenage moose are a menace. They get into the bogberry wine and all inhibitions fly out the window!
They are quite strong and menacing too, and VEGETARIAN no less.
Vegetarian or not, they're still huge and dangerous when annoyed.

I see someone had too much time on his hands... Either that, or you're brainstorming on a new idea for a pot!

I have never seen a moose. My parents almost hit one once and I was in the back seat but it was dark and I didn't see him.
