I have such terrific pictures and links but BLOGGER has the flu today or something so gawd, we just have to settle for WORDS. How boring is that?
Got one of those calls yesterday. It went like this:
'This is such and such store. We just sold all your mugs. Do you have any more?'
Therefore we can buy groceries and cat food.

Yay! Sell-outs are good!
The more the better, Gordo, and this is how December is supposed to look.
Well said, gr, as there's a dusting of snow here and more is falling.
We got our first dump last night too! Its gorgeous. Oh and congrats on the groceries, that's always nice.
Gee, Maggie and Gordo, I think a guy in retail has to clarify a bit. In saying 'this is how December is supposed to look' I was referring NOT to the weather and all the white stuff blowing around today, but in retail, SELLOUTS and SCARCITY of product is how things are supposed to look, because of good sales. What a hilarious miscommunication....I am such a reclusive flake, doesn't everybody understand my little communications?
Personally, I had NO problem with recent warm weather. Give me a nice brown or green Christmas and I am a-OK
(notice: kids who grow up near Buffalo do not neccessarily romaticize snowy scenes...been there done that, again and again...)
ROMANTICIZE, sheesh
You know that's the second time I've been totally off-kilter with something you said, I'm embarrassed to say. I see where what you said makes total sense and I would not blame yourself, perhaps we are in snow-mode in our brains and just couldn't read through all that white fuzz, ha.
In any case, for a retailer, you are right. Sell-outs ring a positive bell.
You see, Maggie, sales equals groceries, plus internet bills and maybe natural gas too. You're not off kilter at all, I am a well known reclusive flake, accustomed to muttering to myself and the cats.
I wonder, Maggie Mind Moss, if we should slap a link up at pottersblog to yours? Whaddya say?
I would be most honored!
Now, I'm all afeared: I knew what you were talking about, Gary. Shudder.
The snow is most excellent, though. No accumulation around my abode, but swirling flakes dancing in the air, nonetheless. Ahhhhhhhh.
I have a bit of a sadistic streak: when I'm about to head off someplace warm and sunny, it warms my heart to see winter rolling around K-Town. :-)
Sorry, gordo, you're right, cm was the one!
And good luck, gordo, with the tan.
Maggie, as soon as blogger starts behaving again, I will see what I can do.
On Tara's computer---so I can comment!!!!! :)
Oooh--- I just LOVE those sorts of calls--- you are IN DEMAND!!!!!
Woooohoooo!!!!
Susan, wooohoooo right back at ya!
