parade of mugs
I am most disappointed. The cold that produced runny nose and sneezing departed with yesterday's lunchtime chili and double strength coffee. Not much of a cold, really, 24 hours. What a wimp it was in the face of my extra spicy chili!
You will notice that each of these mugs is either an innie or an outey.

I just realized that most of your mugs have a "creature" right where I would put my thumb when using it, Gary. How does that affect the comfort?
Your question, Gordo, is a good one. The animals are either on the handle or at the bottom, inside the mug, but of course I also make plain mugs. The point of the matter is, there are five million good potters out there making plain mugs, and one making them with pigs on the handle. It is my specialty, you see, what seperates me from the pack. It is also the spot where they usually fit most easily.
I'm here to order up some of that chili. My cold is still here. Yesterday I thought my head was going to fall off. Today the head feels screwed on better, but my sinuses are still packed. Where do you think they are planning to go?
Good point, pottery one. Who am I to question aesthetics? Other than to mock the fact that we have an "aesthetics committee" at work. ;-)
Functionality aside, I love the animals on your work.
Maggie, an much-maligned in-law of mine swears by garlic for colds. Usually as part of a Caesar salad (which I just found out was invented in Tijuana, Mexico, but I digress).
Generally, as far as I'm concerned, the more garlic the better. Even more so when attempting to exorcise a nasty bug.
Gordo, thanks for the tip, I'll let you know how it goes. I love garlic so this shouldn't be a chore.
Listen, Gordo is indeed wise, and my chili is like fifty cloves of garlic AND onions. Then you have your hot chilis and hot paprika and whatever else is in the fridge. Simmer all day. I feel great!
Wow, that sounds amazing, Gary. Now, I'm going to have to go comb through the cupboards for a bedtime snack.
That's right, simmer all day, but in a pinch, microwave some stuff in a tortilla and call it a burrito. Magic!
