freaky

1) Freaky warm weather: nice and sunny, maybe 60 degrees, green grass and flowers blooming. Sure. last week it was snowing, but WOW!
2)Freaky bowls. Sometimes you are following a strange direction and you ask yourself 'what exactly am I making here and what do I think of it?'

I like em. They look Roman. Probably you've influenced my brain with those little columns on the side there. In any case, the pigs are the piece de resistance (sp?).

I was going to say something else rather relevant or irrelevant as I go these days and cannot remember it. Gah.

Oh yeah. I've noticed that pre-firing stuff looks certainly good but post-firing you get a much different sense of the piece. At least I do. I like anticipating the finished picture. I wonder what these will look like finished also...

In this case there are little dogs cavorting about on the columns. Not sure what my kick is here with the columns. The fired piece looks very different and often makes the piece: pulls the disparate parts together etc.

1) Sshh! Don't jinx it by calling it freaky.

2) That's the great thing about art! You never know exactly where things will come out!

I was hoping Lucia would stop by and see our cute little corgi/dacshund Petey. His little self has found its way onto hundreds of pots.
