what happens in Canada STAYS in Canada

Mr and Mrs Potsblog, high rollers.
The fun thing about going to another country is indulging in vices. Ontario's gov't runs casinos. We have never been to one.
I went in for five dollars for slots, won a few, lost a few, came out with exactly five dollars. The missus was more adventurous. She was down to 1.75, but I lent a hand and got her winnings back up almost to where she had started at 5 dollars.
It seems like a chump's game. All these dispirited and unhappy retirees punching away, like they are in a small office typing the phone book.

You guys came back quickly. How long a trip is it? At least you got up and back before the snow started. It began here about 3 a.m.

Yeah, very little snow here, HA! 190 miles, a 3 hour drive each way. Easy peasy!

I always do well in casinos. I stick to the slots and can play for hours on $20 and come out $100 or more up. Bridget, on the other hand, usually winds up losing a good chunk of my winnings. LOL

The air of desperation that surrounds these places is what keeps up from going very often. It's been five years since we went to Gan to gamble. I can't stand the sight of all these folks that are clearly there attempting to make enough money to live. Knowing full well that the system is designed ot fleece them.

I've never been one to even want to go there. I'd much rather lose a few coins to friends over an evening of friendly poker! But I am glad you both visited!

You said it Greg, a little pile of quarters and change at the kitchen table at a friend's house for poker or black jack instead.
I would, BTW, whup your a$$.
