a wee little tree

(pots by Gary Rith and our own wee little Charlie Brown Christmas tree)
We are Christmas minimalists compared to some. Our red lights are currently kaput, otherwise the tree is almost done.
Gorgeous pots emerging from the kiln, more later.

Most times we don't even have a tree, we just decorate the fireplace mantle and hang some fresh garland. It's a cute little (wee) tree, isn't it?

I absolutely love the stand you have it on! Please explain...

You know, Gary, the thing I like about you is that wherever I'm running around to, I know you'll be right here working and decorating for Christmas.

Lucia! Nice to hear from you again.

Well, Sammy cat died in April, and he was a terror on decorations, trees, and chewing light cords. We would hang a few ornaments, like you Kate and Jim, from a garland up high, away from his reach. Spike and Emily are playful cats, but so far havn't tried to get up to this tree.
It isn't a stand, and you saw this column Kate when you were over. It is a four foot tall former column from a porch on a demolished house.

I like the column too, Gary. Excellent recycling job. :-)

That is the kind of tree I want this year. Last year we had a nine foot cedar. I can just imagine what the 15 month old would do with a full size tree. He loves the phone because it lights up. He has almost called China a few times. Can you imagine what he would do to a Christmas tree?

Hummm...my memory ain't what it used to be. But I do like it. Where'd you have it? and what was sitting on it? lol!

Gotta go to work...

hey, how come your x-mas ornaments aren't hanging on your tree?

At the base, hard to see, are a Santa dog, a baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph and lamb, and a pig commemorating our 10th wedding anniversary, so there is some of my stuff there.
Kate, the column had the sign in book.
Our xmas decorations amount to about 5 minutes of effort Ellen!

Never mind that cute lil tree, what I want is a better look at that taller vase down there in the kiln still. The one with the claret colored top and what looks like cobalt base. Looks very fine to me.
