Jack

Jack is our 12 year old Labrador retriever. He is very sick.
Generally potsblog is a happy-skippy place but occaisionally reality intrudes.

bloodwork is being done--something between a tumor, kidneys failing and doggie alzheimers, or all three and then some--
thanks for the kind words!

Hope he feels better---poor sweetie!

Oh, I knew when I saw that picture that something was amiss there. He really looks wrong, and I can't say why. Poor darling. Crossed fingers for him and lots of loving touches and pets and soft words.

um, there really isn't a chance of better, just how long, but thank you. Sorry to be maudlin, but he has been at my side all day long for 12 years! He is now too. That's all he wants, to be with you, and man, that is humbling.

Oh, Gary. There is something very humbling about a dog's completely unconditional love, isn't there?

Hang tough, my friend.

I can't imagine what you are going through, but we're all here with you and would be there if we all could.

hugs for you all there.

So sorry to hear this news.

So glad he can still do what makes him the happiest-being by your side.

I wish him and you as much comfort as possible. And him a kiss on top of his head.

How does he manage to stay so black in a potter's studio?

This is the last thing I read my kitty-though she already knew it (as I know you and Jack do too). It helped me and I offer it in case it might comfort you too-

Thanks--he is, you know, cheerful, as retrievers usually are!

((hug)) <-- There is a hug for Jack. And here is one for Gary --> ((hug))

If he won't get better, than I wish him absence of pain, and comfort for you all.

Sorry he's not going to get much better. That's truly the hardest part of owning pets...you must some day say goodbye, which ain't easy. Hang in there and give him anything he wants!
