purple pepper plant and pottery

(pots by Gary Rith)

It was about 30-32 degrees yesterday morning and I had brought in my rather healthy purple pepper plant. Next year I will grow only peppers, sweet and hot, as everything else I grow and neglect seems to die. Plants get 2 things from me: sun and water. I am a bad gardener.

I love alliteration.

Plants only need sun and water. And trust that they'll grow. Like so much else in life, it's all about the trust.

Must finish tea...

I like potted plants. Very little care required there. My grapes and apple trees are a huge amount of work for someone like me.

are you going to craft a nifty purple pot with clay peppers draped around it for the wee plant??

potted purple plant in a purple pot?
I dunno, bugs always eat my tonatoes, weeds surround any plant I put out there that the deer and rabbits don't eat...
peppers are famously avoided by pests, because they are spicy

Ah, but sooo good. The only ones I really went up in flames over were those teeny weeny little tepins. Purest fire in the mouth. Jalapenos are mild by comparison. But they do make wonderful potted plants.
