circus dog gets her dinner

Why would anyone watch Penny eat her dinner? Because she is cute!

Penny broke her nice hand-made ceramic food bowl last week and is currently using a little cream cheese tub for her food. The potter needs to make her another custom dish.

Sharkey has a very heavy ceramic dish because he likes to push his bowl around and dump morsels of food on to the floor to eat them. He did have a metal bowl, but the clanking of his dish drove us nuts.

Penny, and the other 2 dogs eat VERY fast, because otherwise they know one of the other dogs would steal their food. We have a pack of 3 wolves.

Aha! That explains a lot. I truly didn't want to think you'd been starving that darling girl. But the way that food disappeared was astonishing! She's so sweet, please give her a good belly rub for me. I do so miss having a dawg. Any kind would do, including a spotted, variegated Pflueger, which my zany sister made up years ago and told a casual passerby that that was what her mongrel pooch was when he inquired. He started to walk off, accepting that, then backtracked and said, "You're pulling my leg, aren't you?" She just nodded quietly and coninued on her way.

All 3 dogs eat a lot, but all 3 also get a ton of exercise, and remain slim.

lol, Mary Lee - that's a brilliant story! Funnily, I recognised the voice before I worked out the ML!

Pflueger!

Yeah, Pflueger. No other soul on earth could have dreamed that up in half an instant. My little sis is one of the best story tellers I know! However, she does admit to having kinda gone overboard with 'spotted, varietgate', all in one breath. And for a dog?

Oh, well. Would you believe 'variegated'?

That's an outrage! get busy and make another one! I know the cobbler's kids go barefoot but this? The potter's dog goes dishless??!!!
