pottery in action: grilled veggies on my plate

(plate by Gary Rith, veggies cooked by same, also Jack and the missus)
People ask my friend A______, who is in an alternative relationship, how women do it, with details. College guys are especially nosey. WELL, vegetarians get asked the same type of question, different subject. How do vegetarians bbq??? WELL, I grew the little tomatoes and pepper, added a friend's summer squash and marianated in GARY'S SUPER DUPER MARIANADE SAUCE all day, then skewered and grilled, with some fake sausage, and NOW you know the secret. It is hard to believe how tasty that was.

Now...just 'what' is fake sausage made of??? I mean, it looks good and all, but is it some kind of soy?

Soy, yes. Looking back over these pics, we sure had a lot of summer squash for dinner.
But isn't it always that way, with squash and zucchini? A month where everybody has a million of them?

My mother went so far as to make zucchini muffins. I just use 'em on pizza, in lieu of pepperoni.

I'm gonna stick with my good 'ol Rib Eye steaks, or a nice big juicy medium/well done BBQ'd cow burger :)

there is a point in August where everybody is sick of zucchini and squash--but NEVER sick of blueberries

To paraphrase Dr Johnson, when you are sick of blueberries, you are sick of life.
