history lessons: more better jugs
(unglazed jugs by Gary Rith, old painting by somebody else, showing old jugs)
OK, still messing around here: the first of this series were glaze fired yesterday, but I made some more. I like my handles to start low, swing high then down, like a heart cut halfway down the middle. So, whereas before the handles came straight off the lip of the jug, in these I added a slight ring below the lip (just for visuals) and then looped the handle up off of that. Make any sense?

man.. I don't know which is "better" as I like both styles of handles! Though maybe upon further reflection.. v2.0 edges out front. Though maybe it's just the way you artistically have the light highlighting their curves..
well done.
